Getting set up for Waging War on Hunger, Hurt & Hate



Every now and then we get the honor of hosting an event that really reaches out and touches the hearts and minds of the people in attendance.  This past Friday night we welcomed the 2011 Scholar Athletes from the area.  Mountaire and WBOC delivered a night filled with good food, a great keynote speaker and a group of very deserving students.  Every aspect of this event was wonderful and if you find yourself with the opportunity to attend this event in the future, do it.  You won't be sorry.

"Waging War on Hunger, Hurt & Hate" not only recognized many of the outstanding Scholar Athletes from the area, but also raised money in support of the Mountaire Thanksgiving for Thousands campaign.  With special guest speaker, Joe Ehrmann- NFL Veteran, NY Times Best Selling Author and Coach America Speaker- over 180 guests in attendance had the opportunity to hear words of wisdom on becoming men and women and the fundamental principles that entails. 

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to cater to such a wide range of events.  With each weekend and each group that comes through being so different and representing so many different causes I find myself constantly learning something new about my community and the people in it and that is truly an honor.  I get to meet people on a regular basis who go above and beyond to help others and this event was just that.
