Inspiration in Inspiration Boards

The newest wave in wedding preperation...Inspiration Boards.  A new and improved technology centered take on the old fashioned marble or spiral notebook.

When you were a little girl you might have gone through magazines and cut out pictures of the women you wanted to look like, dress like, be when you grew up.  Some of those women might have been beautiful brides.  When you grew up, you continued this hobby, but now your focus is mainly on your dream wedding.  The perfect day, the perfect dress, the most beautiful bouquet.  With modern techonology you no longer need to cut out pictures and glue them into a notebook.  You can pull up an app on your computer or iPhone and build your dream wedding though photos.
It's so easy to do, you can create as many as you want and you will definately begin to see a pattern with things you like and are drawn to.

I created this inspiration board on weddingwire.com and it was so easy to do!  After I designed this first one it made me want to go back and do something completely different with lots of color...so I did!!
With so many choices, it is so easy to become inspired through designing your unique inspiration boards.  Through these few samples it is easy to see that the possibilities and ideas are truly endless.  No matter what your style, what season or month you imagine your wedding taking place, you are sure to design the perfect wedding by using inspiration boards.

Many websites offer free inspiration boards such as weddingwire.com, theknot.com and etsy.com.  Every bride is different and there are so many different images to search through, so many different color schemes and styles to choose from.  You can even change the layout of your board as you go.

So join the app revolution!  Bring your inspiration with you to meetings with vendors, lunch with your mom or just to show friends at work during your lunch break.  You never know when you will find inspiration or what will inspire you!

DIY Seating Chart

In March we held a Beach themed wedding for an amazing couple.  They used creative DIY tricks to personalize their wedding and created a unique seating chart for their guests!  By taking old window panes and painting the wood trim white and using Navy Blue and White window markers they created the cutest seating arrangements I have seen yet.  A different take on the Chalk Board chart, this truly created a "window" to their love.  They even incorporated engagement  photos that showed their fun and caring personalities.

To duplicate this look for your wedding you will need to purchase basic materials:
*White/Blue Window Markers - $6.99 on Amazon.com
*White Sample Size Paint Can - $3.23 at Lowes
*Pick up old window panes at a local antique shop or junk yard
**An alternate to windows could be mirrors left as-is or painted over with a coat of chalk paint, also available at Lowes.
